Every bill adds the IPv4 address, setup fees, renewals and traffic, so the order is what you will pay.

Some links may earn ServerDiff a commission. It never changes the order, which is the bill under the assumptions shown. How we rank

Questions

Why is your price higher than the provider’s?

Because the bill includes what the price tag leaves out: the IPv4 address, setup fees, the price after an introductory offer ends, and VAT when you add it. Every line of the bill is shown, so you can check each one.

Do providers pay to rank higher?

No. The order is the bill under the assumptions shown above the list, then a fixed tie-break. Some links may earn us a commission when you buy; that never moves a row, and the code that sorts does not know which links do.

How fresh are the prices?

Every price shows when it was last checked. Prices entered by hand show as aging after 14 days and leave the rankings after 45 days, until they are checked again.

What does “not published” under a price mean?

The provider does not publish one of the charges you need, often an IPv4 fee or the price of extra traffic. That charge is left out of the price shown and named under it, so you know to check it at the provider before you buy. We never count an unknown charge as free.

Is VAT included?

Not unless you choose a country. Businesses in the EU usually buy without VAT; private customers pay their own country’s rate. Pick it in the settings and every bill includes it.

What if IPv6 is enough for me?

Turn off Public IPv4 and the address fees leave every bill. An IPv6-only server is often the cheapest setup, as long as your users and tools can reach it.

Are two vCPUs the same everywhere?

No. A vCPU is a share of a processor, and providers slice them differently. Shared cores slow down when neighbours are busy; dedicated cores do not. Compare like with like using the cores filter.

I found a wrong price. What now?

Use “Report a correction” on the server’s page. Confirmed corrections are fixed and logged with the date, so you can see what changed.
