The rules for using ServerDiff. In short: bills are careful estimates, and the provider’s checkout decides what you pay.

The service

ServerDiff is a free comparison of servers sold by other companies, run by [operator’s legal name and address]. We do not sell servers, take orders or handle payments, and you do not need an account. By using the site you accept these terms.

Estimates, not offers

Bills are calculated from the prices, fees and terms we have collected, under the assumptions shown with them: months, VAT, currency, options and traffic. They are estimates for comparison, not offers from us or from the provider. Prices change, data marked as sample or unverified has not been checked, and providers and banks may round taxes and convert currencies differently. Check the price and terms on the provider’s own site before you buy.

The provider’s checkout is final

If you buy a server, your contract is with the provider, on the provider’s terms and at the price its checkout shows. We are not a party to that contract. We cannot change, cancel or refund an order, and we cannot provide support for a provider’s service.

No warranty

We work to keep the data accurate, complete and dated, and we publish how we do it in the methodology. Even so, the site is provided as it is and as available, without any warranty that it is accurate, complete, available or fit for a particular purpose. Workload suggestions are starting points, not guarantees of capacity or performance.

Liability

[To be drafted with legal advice.] As far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses that result from decisions made with the help of the site, from errors in provider data, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Acceptable use

You are welcome to use the site, link to any page and share what you find. Please do not:

  • request pages automatically at a rate or volume that slows the site down for others, or ignore robots.txt;
  • copy the catalogue in bulk to republish it or to build a competing database;
  • get around rate limits, or try to enter the administration area or other non-public parts of the site;
  • send correction reports that are false, abusive or advertising.

We may block traffic that harms the service. If you find a security problem, please tell us at [email protected] before publishing it.

Content and data

The text, design, code and compilation of data on ServerDiff belong to [operator] or its licensors. Provider names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify their services. You may quote short extracts and individual prices with a link to the page they come from; for anything more, such as reusing the dataset, ask us first. By sending a correction report you allow us to use its content to correct and improve the data.

Links to providers and other websites are there for your convenience. We are not responsible for their content, terms or privacy practices. Some links may earn us a commission, as the affiliate disclosure explains; that never changes the order of any list.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and we will point out material changes on this page [for how long, for example 30 days] before they apply.
