A server for n8n
1,606 servers from 50 providers, from €4.49 a month. Prices checked 12 hours ago
Self-hosting n8n means one small server running n8n and its database, usually with Docker Compose. n8n’s documentation says it isn’t CPU intensive and that memory matters more: an idle instance needs around 100 MB, and the real need depends on your workflows and the data they move. This list starts at 2 vCPU and 4 GB of memory, enough for n8n, Postgres and a reverse proxy. That is also the size of the machine n8n used for its own single-instance benchmark.
- Lowest bill
- €4.49(The lowest bill with every charge known. Rows priced lower leave out a charge their provider doesn’t publish.)
- Typical hidden fees
- +€6.24/mo(21% of these servers cost more than their price tag once the required fees are added (IPv4, setup, traffic, minimum term). On those, the extra is typically €6.24 a month. The list is always sorted by the full bill.)

Some links may earn ServerDiff a commission. It never changes the order, which is the bill under the assumptions shown. How we rank
Why 4 GB and not 1 GB: n8n starts with SQLite and runs on very little memory, but large files, Code nodes and manual test runs can all push memory up for a moment, and when n8n runs out it stops the execution. Postgres is the database n8n expects once you grow, and its queue mode, with Redis and separate workers, isn’t recommended on SQLite. Four gigabytes leaves room for Postgres, Redis and one worker on the same server. A single personal instance on SQLite can run on 1 or 2 GB: lower the memory filter if that is you.
What the price tag hides: n8n hosting is often sold as a one-click template on a VPS with a 12- to 48-month term, a low first-term price and a higher renewal price. This list shows the average monthly bill over the period you choose, including the renewal price once an introductory term ends, the IPv4 address and any setup fee, so a long-term deal and a monthly plan are compared on the same footing. n8n publishes its own Docker Compose setup; a template mostly saves you that step.
Before you buy: webhooks need a public address and HTTPS, so keep the IPv4 address on unless every service that calls your workflows can reach you over IPv6. Turn on backups, or copy the database somewhere else every night: your workflows and saved credentials live there.
